There’s two issues here and you kind of hit on them, does the women have a right to decide in reference to her own body, the other is when does life start.
The religious people want to force upon everybody else, via the government, the concept that a sperm in an egg is a baby, that’s the argument you should take to them. If they try to change the subject to an embryo ask them if life starts at conception? That’s what they claim. Make them talk about a sperm and an egg being a baby, they’d rather talk about near birth abortion, that isn’t really a thing except in horrible cases of Pregnancies gone wrong. They want to talk about things to drive emotions not logic.
We compromised with them 50 years ago and set it at 20 weeks the problem with religion, it never has enough, it will never compromise. If they compromise they’re planning to cheat or they’re lying. “ We’ll agree to 20 weeks! (until we can put a corrupt pig in the White House that will give us three corrupt judges)“
The idea that a sperm in an egg as a baby is absurd, it’s downright stupid, the question is, is from that point on when does a person start, I’m still perfectly happy with 20 weeks.
I also get tired with the states rights things never understood why tyranny of the federal government is any different than tyranny of a state government. If a state knows better than why can’t a county know better? States rights is a tactic of liars and crooks. What if he has terminal cancer and decides to forego treatment and the Christian Taliban says no, you have to promote “life” at all costs and you are mandated in Wyoming to get treatment whether you want it or not. I mean these people just are not thinking this shit through. What if one state turns red? Then it becomes illegal? Then that same state turns back to blue? Then it’s legal again for 4 years?
