And now Trump says Rudy Giuliani has tested positive for COVID. What is shocking is that he's not gotten it all this time.

We definitely decorated. We live in the greater Seattle area and right now the days are quite short. Between that and the pandemic, the decorations really cheer us up as does our beautiful tree. Regarding the election, I am afraid I will be a bit nervous until Joe Biden is inaugurated. We can't wait until tRump #GTFO of the White House so we can all ignore him as just another internet crackpot tweeting his inanities and insanities.

We decorated our tree but didn't put on as many ornaments this year. I do have a wreath on the door and have decorated the fireplace. Regarding what to watch, My Octopus Teacher, the most wonderful documentary to make you feel calm and marvel about how lucky we are to be on this earth with all the wonderful creatures among us. Back to the traitor in the WH, we must cancel the repainting of Air Force One! He's not to get any recognition for anything in my book. Love your show Michelangelo xxx

We put up a wreath and that’s all we’re doing. When I was a kid decorating for Christmas was such a major project that I don’t enjoy it. My mother had to have a different artificial tree each year and a different theme. Tree and ornament shopping was a 1 month ordeal that started right after Thanksgiving,

I watch a lot of nostalgia TV and movies. Even though there were barely any persons of color other than stereotypes. Old Hollywood, musicals and/or suspense: Cary Grant, Fred Astaire, Hepburns (Katherine and Audrey), Hitchcock films. They are my escape from reality, which I need even more these days.

I also am starting to wear my face shield along with my mask and gloves when I grocery shop. More people are wearing them in South Jersey and Philly lately so I now have company in looking like I just stepped out of a SciFi film!

Hi Mike et al. ... we bought a fresh tree and have more decorations than we know what to do with. HOWEVER -- we'll just decorate the tree once we bring it indoors this weekend, put out a few Christmas arrangements, and keep it relatively low key compared to previous years. Hubby is the big decorator, but neither he nor I are feeling it this year.

I can't wait to see what Trump does to f**k up the runoffs down in GA. Hopefully it'll be enough to push things to the Dem. side. On TV? Was watching "Schitt's Creek" and need to start that up again. Was also watching "Ozark" and it just got too damn dark for me, though I think it's well-done. If your mood is okay despite what's happening in the world these days, I'd recommend it.

No tree, just decor the balcony and walkway with poinsettias, artificial types, while trying to drum up holiday spirit. Tougher this year with thinking about the lost lives and the struggles of so many. I am struggling with a son who has lost his job plus gotten over covid, mostly. He thinks I don't see it, but his physical and mental beings are different than before getting it. The Best to all.

Michelangelo....here in the California desert....the weather is sunny, warm & very pleasant , even had some snow in the mountains, important to maintain the water table here. Just two of us in residence, almost decided not to do decorations, but our “design juices” got the better of us. We have a large Xmas display theme, with a moving railway/train setup, snow, cars, people & even a snowplow , our Santa is stuck in a chimney, being attended by police, ambulance and fire truck with extension ladder. The center of the display is the decorated tree. I think the motivation to do the display was because of Biden/Harris win, our morale was right to “celebrate” during the pandemic. Wishing you , your partner, family and all your listeners ( even the “Repugnant” ones) a safe holiday period.

BTW, in a related note about this Giuliani Michigan hearing disaster you should interview state representative Darrin Camilleri, D-Brownstown since he was the only one on the committee asking that Giuliani and his witnesses to swear under oath.

The one and only reason we have a small tree up is because our 5 year old granddaughter wanted to decorate it and write Santa a letter. For the first time in decades my husband will not be doing outside lights. It’s just so hard to get into the spirit when so many families have lost loved ones this past year. We are lucky that we have not lost anyone in our immediate family, but we know plenty of families who have suffered loss of some kind. Peace and Love is what is important right now.

We started "Heaven's Gate: The Cult of Cults" on HBO Max. Really well made and fascinating.

Also started the new season of "Big Mouth" on Netflix, and I'm thrilled with the presentation of the new trans character. I knew it would be hilarious with Patti Harrison involved. Everything is better with Patti Harrison.

For hope, we are continuing "Star Trek: Discovery" on CBS All Access. Season 3 is soooooo good and I end up crying by the end of most episodes (also, they introduced non-binary characters this season).

Of course, we also can't get through an evening without at least a couple flying fox bat rescue videos on YouTube.

Hi Mike and Signorile fam, well we are going on shutdown again in most of California tonight and I could not agree more with the Governor in doing so. Am fed up with the naysayers. We did so well early in the year and it has just gotten out of control now. Although I live in an area where everyone but the tourists wears a mask I don’t get people who find these rules problematic. Would they walk into a store with a lit cigarette? No, so why is wearing a mask and distancing a bridge too far?

Anyway we did decorate though not as all out as in years past. Tree is up inside, some decorations and a lit wreath and a few other outside things. At least the USPS, UPS and FedEx delivery people can enjoy them. It’s cheerful and the pets love it.

In terms of shows, I am watching one on PBS now called Roadkill starring Hugh Laurie who I loved for years in House. While a political drama/thriller based in Britain (I know, politics, right?), it’s beautifully acted and I have no idea where it’s going. Otherwise watching some of the same things as you. I did finish Versailles on Netflix which was excellent. I must be a pushover for political stuff but at least it’s nothing to do with America. It’s nice to not be thinking of Fake Bone Spurs. Btw great show this week. Totally agree hope they go off and make the MAGA party. Also hope he does veto the Defense bill and make the GOP stand up, as you said. Thanks again for all you do. I subscribed to the newsletter and $50/year is a total bargain!

Oh! You should this comedy special that was on Thursday night. It was Giuliani's hearing about voting fraud with the Michigan Legislature. I have no idea where he found these witnesses. Plus his constant flatulence didn't help either. Something to talk about Monday I assume.

In response to your questions:

1) Holiday Decorating? Or no?  We're putting lights on the outside of the house front and back this weekend. As for the tree and all the other stuff inside the house, we're waiting on that until middle of the month after one of our housemates moves out. I don't want the movers getting my Christmas crap boxes mixed up with the housemate's boxes.

2) What am I watching on TV?  I'm trying to finish up season 5 and then watch all of season 6 of Grace & Frankie on Netflix. If you've never seen it, I highly recommend it. It's funny as hell! I also have about a month and a half of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah backed up on the DVR that I need to watch.

You've probably surmised that I'm not big on TV, given that I'm still trying to catch up on Grace & Frankie episodes from a season and a half back.  I'm more of a reader.  I'm reading a biography on Elaine Stritch (Still Here), Kamala Harris' The Truths We Hold and I'm doing my damnedest to get through The Best After-Dinner Stories, which so far is sooooo NOT what I had expected it to be!

Being an obsessive viewer of sketch comedy, I love how another comedic actor (Olivia Colman) is portraying Queen Elizabeth II. Speaking of which, you should hear Scott Thompson talk about his mom's crazy meetup with her majesty when she visited his hometown of Brampton, Ont.

Hi Michelangelo,

Happy Saturday!

I watched "Rebuilding Paradise" a National Geographic documentary on the horrific fire in CA produced by Ron Howard last night. I've had an interest in the village and their recovery and it's on Hulu which I prefer over my Prime and Netflix accounts.

Counting down the days until Biden is in office. I can't resist looking at Trump's FB page a few times a day but he keeps getting more insane and fringe right as the days go by.

I was blown away by the 8-part series 11-22-63. I think you would really like it as the historical production of the 60's is perfection and I think James Franco is magnificent in it.
