Your voice on the radio has been such a comfort, from that first horrible day when we learned of the 2016 election results to yesterday's thoughtful analysis of where the 2020 race was headed. You have been a beacon for so many of us and I will be eternally grateful to you. And CONGRATULATIONS to all of us freedom lovers around the world!
My husband and I are elated! But there is still work to be done. Get out your checkbooks, folks. We have to do everything we can in the special election in Georgia to give Biden and the Democrats a Senate they can work with. We must make the two Democrats win in Georgia in January!
This was a crucial stress test for democracy, and we narrowly prevailed. That said, there are 2 battles to win: 1) 2 must-win 2021 Senate races in Georgia, and 2) rebranding of the Democratic party--Democratic leadership has failed to articulate the difference between 'democracy' and 'socialism', allowing the right-wing echo chamber to tar every candidate with the same brush and failing to explain that policies supported by the majority of the electorate (racial justice, criminal justice reform, climate change, taxes on the uber-wealthy, reduction of government corruption, elimination of voter suppression, etc) are 'democratic policies' not incursions into socialism. If we have a chance of winning the GA Senate seats, Democrats, for once, need to be crystal clear that the current GA Senators supported actual fascism and engaged in self-dealing corruption, while their challengers support democracy and popular bi-partisan policies. Georgia is within grasp because of Stacey Abrams' tireless efforts and exceptional communication skills. People should celebrate Biden's win but do so by turning now to the GA Senate races.
I was driving to my local beach on a beautiful November afternoon when my husband called to tell me cnn called it. BEST BEACH WALK EVER...pure joy ...to tears of joy... to tears of relief ...to tears of profound sadness that so many suffered so much the last four years.

What a joyous day! The stress of these last years just evaporated. Trump lost, BIGLY. America WON. Trump is done. A loser. An abject failure. He is now Lame Donald Duck until he is booted out of the White House on January 20, 2021. I bet he will pack up and go away before that, because he will have to resign and have Pence pardon him before he flees the USA never to return to escape his massive debts and prison!
Trump is a despicable individual. Finally, after four LONG years, the American people have repudiated him. To me it feels more like a triumph of good over evil, rather than merely an election. Biden is the right man at exactly the right time.
2:40 pm and I already downed a bottle champagne! Yeah, the lame duck session will be ugly. The next four years will be difficult. But I agree with you — let’s celebrate and revel in this hard-fought win!!! Cheers to all of us!!!

I was surprised at my reaction and the crying wasn’t tears but sobs. Think I’ve held onto to grief and fear for so long. What a glorious day!! Thank you Michael for being there every day for all of your listeners. For educating, informing , listening and supporting us. Ready to get to work to rebuild and heal!
I feel protected now! I know we have some battles ahead with the Supreme Court, but we now have a president who will fight for us! Tears of joy!!!
