so another GQP'r falls under the weight of his own PROJECTION and HYPOCRISY....they are always projecting their foibles on us dems and pretending to be the end all, be all, and screaming about their fake azz "family values"....
Now, maybe Doug Jones can run for that seat and hopefully win!!
Getting Moderna shot #2 on Sunday. Still wearing the mask, and social distancing is not a problem since I avoid people outside of my close circle like the plague.
When Republicans went after former President Clinton, they opened the flood gates to their own hypocrisy. Both parties have had their share of sex scandals, however, it is always hilarious when Republicans show their true selves. Those Family Values Evangelical Christians with their pious interference in other people’s private lives comes back to haunt them.
The GOP hypocrisy is incredible, yet the ultra conservatives still love to vote for them, regardless of their sinful ways. Here in Florida, the GOP focuses on voter suppression, stopping peaceful protests and other nefarious activities. Meanwhile, their perverse lifetimes come to the forefront and nobody seems to care. They are slippery slime balls for certain.
So I think Gaetz is a self-aggrandizing brute and Merrill is a silly hypocrite; and that is separate from their politics and social stances which I find repugnant.
However...
Gaetz not only has NOT been found guilty of anything, but he has also not been charged with anything.
The left is conflating sex with a 17 year old with sex trafficking (and for the latter, it was the associate who might be more guilty). While I think it is likely he asked for a Pardon, Trump denied it. So there is currently (to paraphrase Gertrude Stein) "no there, there."
And by these words, I do not intend to suggest temperance by the left, but a warning.
I fear this is all going to backfire. Three weeks into this and no charges. I hope I am wrong but I fear this will backfire.
Aside from that... "I Love Lucy?" OK, I can see Lucy -- I can let that go. (The Loving Cup on her head on the Subway and I still laugh to this day. ) But the "Andy Griffith?" Does he not have a clue that in that show, in the south, there were no black people? Now that is naive and racist.
“Gunsmoke,” “Bonanza,” “The Virginian,”? Hehehehe.
Don't feel too sorry for that GOPer. He's been pushing voter suppression laws in Alabama for quite some time. As well as closing DMVs in majority african-american rural counties.
