Thank Michelangelo for this fascinating and very informative segment. As a scientist I have always listened to and observed the information being provided me by colleagues, while questioning that which I did not totally grasp. Unfortunately, in the age of Fox news it has become increasingly more difficult, I believe, for those who don't have a background in science to discern or separate, perhaps, fact from fiction. The author does make a very good argument, as I have found that when I described somewhat complicated scientific concepts to friends and family, I have mostly been able to gain their acceptance, if not outright approval as a result of a building of trust.
