I think GOP leaders who are now urging Trump to resign will see a good portion of the Trump base turn on them. Hopefully, this disgust with what they will label as RINO’s, will keep them away from the polls come January and the midterms. You are right, Trump has damaged the GOP, deservedly so.
tRump will not be running for the 2024 presidency... that is my prediction. This hype is a pure money making scam by tRump and his family to extort donations from his “ suckers & losers”, it’s a last ditch effort to scam his base. tRump will be also be distracted by an avalanche of legal issues & creditors chasing him.. He will certainly attempt to keep his “cult” together and exploit them via a “tRump” tV/internet network. tRump is done, he is facing failure head on and things may get chaotic for this nation until Biden’s inauguration. I am hoping, that in a few weeks, tRump sneaks back to Florida and hides, seeking comfort in malfeasance tweets.

I would not count the chickens yet. Without Trump as the common enemy, I fear the "liberals" and the "progressives" are poised to fight it out in the Democratic party. It was only justified hate of Trump that kept them together.
I think people are getting way ahead if themselves re what Trump will do after leaving office. The country, particularly mainstream media, have become so used to 24/7-365 drama that they’re already trying to set the stage for a spinoff of the 4-year reality show nightmare.
We the People have had enough and our votes indicated that. Let the GOP, Trumpers and hooked media go off and deal with whatever further escapades that man creates. We the People finally can move forward and rebuild our country.
No one can predict the future so presuming what anyone will do, especially a technically obese 74-year old man who allegedly had a mini-stroke occurance in 2019 and where he will be 1, 2, 4 years from now is a waste of time.

I heard Markos Moulitsas expound this theory in explaining why the polling was off, possibly on your show.
Eg, trump ran in 2016, and 2020, but not in 2018.
I agree that his not being in this election Jan6, maybe his Lysol drinking redcaps may not show due to lack of interest.
